Constructor notes: The construction of this puzzle presented an entertaining challenge. Could we make an acrostic with every clue thematic? We realized early on that making all of the clues thematic might well tip off solvers as to the theme. So we made some of the answers thematic instead, and tried to make more of the clues challenging or obscure than we typically do.
